50 Cent proposes to pay New York City Democratic mayor Candidate Zohran Leaving the state Wednesday after learning about his tax plan from a reference rapper’s interview.
The video he quoted is fromBreakfast Club“The podcast will appear on June 11 during a campaign for the Democratic primary earlier this month. In the interview, Mamdani explained that his goal is to raise corporate taxes to pay for plans to “prevent” the city’s plans.
“We’re talking about companies that make millions of dollars, not making money, but making profits,” Mandani said. “The second is taxing the top 1% of New Yorkers. We’re talking about people who make one million dollars or more a year, taxing only on a flat 2% tax.”

He added: “I know if 50 cents are listening, he wouldn’t be happy about it. He tends to dislike this tax policy, but I want to be very clear that it’s about $20,000 a year. It’s a rounding mistake. All of these things together make life better for every New Yorker, including those who are actually taxed now.”
50 Cent’s real name is Curtis James Jackson III, and later responded to Mamdani’s comments on Instagram.
