Earlier this month, I boarded a flight from Kennedy to Heathrow Airport London. Based on the advice of a few friends, I was based on East London and had been jumping around between several Airbnbs in Hackney and Dalston. From New YorkI can’t help but compare the time I spend most of my time with their London neighborhoods in New York City. There are too many cities throughout London to announce any real 1:1 correlation, but based purely on the street-style scenes I stayed on, I would say East London is the most similar North Brooklyn– Basically Williamsburg, GreenPoint and Bushwick. Disagree at will. These are just my observations!
Speaking of what I noticed, I immediately bell the atmosphere of my area based on what clothes I see wearing every time I leave the apartment. What I have noticed so far is that several trends and specific items are very popular in this crowd. In the East, they are under power The impact of Y2K Lots of loose jeans, relaxing t-shirts and tech Sports shoes Walk around. Comparing the afternoons I spent in Notting Hill and Kensington, I already realized that this style is just as regional in London New Yorkand even more. For a full list of each niche trends and projects, I see it at least five times a day in East London, just keep reading.
Jeans Shorts Shorts
Summer is in full swing, and after an 80-degree day, I noticed a lot of people (both men and women) wearing denim Bermuda. They will juggle everything from colorful sneakers to ballet flats to tall people boots Interesting spin.
Colorful sneakers
This is the sneaker city. The style I pay most attention to? Londoners almost wear retro pairs Adidas Sambas and Onitsuka Tiger Mexico’s 66 types of sneakers, but especially bright yellow, grass green and bright oranges.
Colored lens sunglasses
As far as accessories go, East Londoners are reaching out for sunglasses with tinted lenses to lend them all their outfits, which is a fun conversation starts with a splash.
Medium calcium boots
Boots…Summer? I was surprised to find flat, mid-calcium boots like the Viral Fried Garden Campus pair, which is so popular, but given the gentle summer here, it makes sense why so many people are styling with beautiful comics and simple lace-up shorts.
Low-waisted puddle jeans
The clothing formula I noticed was small pants. The pants are either loose pants or often loose jeans – I noticed most of them.
Apartment…everything
London is much more than I realize, so everyone can make the shoes practical. Ballet flats are almost everywhere, but styling more oversized outfits to offset their sweetness.
Big shirt
People are more relaxed and relaxed when it comes to dressing than London’s more luxurious neighborhoods in the West. On Hackney and Dalston, the oversized t-shirts are staples, ranging from beautiful lace trim shorts to long skirts.
Birkenstock blockage
Speaking of apartments, Birkenstock Boston Blockage It is another staple food nearby. If people don’t wear sneakers or ballet flats, they’ll certainly wear a pair of suede wood logs.
