First on Fox: Secretary Kristi Noem and Department of Homeland Security (DHS) on Friday granted $9.4 million in federal grants to 512 Jewish faith-based organizations through National Security Supplement (NSGP-NSS).
Grants allocated through the Nonprofit Security Grant Program are part of a pre-designated fund Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Under DHS, the purpose is to “support target hardening and other physical safety enhancements.”
“The Department of Homeland Security is working to stop the disturbing rise of anti-Semitic attacks,” Tricia McLaughlin, Assistant Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security, told Fox News Digital. “The money is simply tragic. Anti-Semitic violence has no place in this country.”

DHS sources told Fox News Digital that similar grants have been used to improve security measures such as cameras, physical barriers and other enhanced security programs.
