The tech billionaire and former head of the Trump administration’s Department of Efficiency (DOGE) regretted the bill because it was not addicted to spending in Washington. House Republican products are now being revised in the Senate, with a target of $1.5 trillion in spending cuts.

Musk sets the benchmark to find $2 trillion in waste, fraud and abuse to cut his Doge Initiativebut not far away, earning only $160 billion in his four months as a special government employee.

Still, he received a receipt questioning whether Trump, Thun and Johnson were really committed to in-depth layoffs.

Thune agreed with his colleagues in the House Republican that the tax cuts require huge savings and believes that the Senate Republicans can take the relief measures one step further. Senate Republicans re-established their vows to cut federal funding after the bill was introduced last month from the House of Representatives.

“It can achieve everything we intend to do. It modernizes our military, secures our borders, expands tax breaks and mitigates tax breaks, which will lead to economic growth and better jobs in the country and puts U.S. energy dominant, plus the biggest spending in U.S. history,” he said. “So these are our agenda items, and that’s what we’re running for. That’s what we’re going to do.”

Johnson had to conduct a balanced act in the House to bring enough support behind the legislation and reach a deal and meet lawmakers in all aspects of the House Republican lawmakers while still setting a $1.5 trillion spending cut target. Waste, fraud and abuse have been a constant spell for speakers and their allies.
