ABC News in Disney in Disney suspended a high-ranking journalist on Sunday after calling Donald Trump and an important consultant “world-class hater” on social media and possibly attributing the world’s largest media group to the fire line of the US President.
Senior ABC News Correspondent Terry Moran posted Shortly after midnight Saturday: “Trump is a world-class hater. But his hatred is only a means to end, and this end () is his own glorification.”
He also wrote that the Trump adjutant Stephen Miller is “a man who is richly equipped with the ability to hate”. Moran has deleted the post since then.
ABC News On Sunday, Moran have released “pending further evaluation”, said a spokesman for the Financial Times.
“ABC News stands for objectivity and impartiality in its reporting and does not tolerate subjective personal attacks on others. Post does not reflect the views of ABC messages and violates our standards,” said the group in an explanation.
The Press spokesman for the White House, Karoline Leavitt, described Moran’s posts as “unacceptable and rude rhetoric”.
“Abc will have to answer what her so -called journalist released on Twitter in the early morning,” she told Fox News on Sunday.
“But this speaks to distrust that the American public has in the Legacy media.”
ABC News has already been the subject of Trump’s anger since he returned to the White House. Trump sued ABC after the anchor George Stephanopoulos On-air falsely said that Trump had been found “for rape”. Disney paid $ 15 million to Trump’s presidential library in December to pay the lawsuit.
In his second term as president, Trump accepted his attack on the media with lawsuits and regulatory threats. He sued CBS News and accused the network of deceptively editing an interview with the political rival Kamala Harris and at the same time saying goodbye to the executive’s instructions in order to withdraw federal financing for public service broadcasters such as PBS and NPR.
Paramount, which CBS News belongs, is in conversations to pay the lawsuit with Trump, a view that has angry the CBS Newsroom.
