Ice begins arrests for illegal immigrants nationwide after ice shelter hearing

Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials have begun a nationwide initiative aimed at arresting illegal immigrants who have left court.

Sources say the effort will target those who have lived in the United States for less than two years.

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) strategy aims to reduce illegal immigration cases. According to Ice sources, federal officials plan to arrest immigrants and put them in a rapid evacuation process, quickly deporting them, allowing almost dismissal without hearing before an immigration judge.

If there are active, pending court cases in immigration, it is impossible to accelerate the removal of office, which is why Department of Homeland Security officials plan to abandon it. Sources said immigration judges must agree to withdraw the case and so far they are working hard.

Fox News legal analyst and commentator Gregg Jarrett pointed out that the Supreme Court’s recent ruling “President Trump has the right to terminate Biden’s temporary protection status (TPS) for certain specific immigrants who have been in the United States for less than two years.”

“This means they are eligible to speed up deportation,” he said. “There is no law that can prevent ICE from enforcing initiatives by being arrested at immigration/assadness hearings. It makes sense from a security standpoint. Indeed, it’s a long-term approach.”

If a judge refuses to dismiss the case, they can “maintain their jurisdiction over what happened (immigrants) because the person is in an immigration court lawsuit and the judge can decide that as long as they do not dismiss the case, they will decide what happened.”

When asked if the judge might try to stop the arrest, Jarrett believed that “the possibility of intervention is small.”

“Most asylum and deportation hearings are in front of an immigration judge, who is an employee of the Justice Department,” he said. “These hearings occur in federal courts or in detention facilities, so the likelihood of intervention is small. For example, you won’t try to intervene like the state court judges we see in (Milwaukee, Wisconsin).”
