What attracts your joyful character That’s it…?
Very likable. I love the show now and I just thought Joey sounded cool. I think, I really like the BBCbecause, because you know, if you are in English and are an actor, you always want to be on the list in what the BBC does. They made very good TVs, and there were no advertisements, and there was something wonderful about having the old tradition of the BBC. I like Joy is a BBC producer and I like Miranda’s character. I didn’t get much informed at first, I just knew I was a producer and I would meet Miranda outside of the United Nations, but I was attracted by its potential and I loved what I read. I just thought Joey sounded funny.
How does it feel to work with Cynthia Nixon?
She is a dream. I really admire her. Obviously, she is very good at acting, so she is really fun and she is so smart, curious, interested and intimate. She is really great. Continue That’s it… In season three, it feels like you are joining a new school and you don’t want to work hard with all the big girls. You want to play a little cool. I remember reading, just Oh my god, look at them. Wow. But everyone was friendly and what really touched me was that they were still passionate and excited about the work, including Michael Patrick King and John Melfi. I am really lucky to do this. Cynthia is just someone I really like and admire, a very, very good person, and it’s very happy to play her girlfriend.
Is your child watching you on the show?
My son hasn’t, but he will. My daughter does, and it’s so cool that my best friend Emily (Mortimer), who is 15 years old, has been watching the entire series. It’s amazing to have a whole new generation of young people watching it.
