What do Americans think of Trump’s military parade?

A military parade commemorating the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army will be held in Washington, D.C. on June 14, which coincides with the 79th birthday of U.S. President Donald Trump. Tanks and other heavy equipment have arrived in the city.

The last time the United States conducted a military parade was in 1991, when President George W. Bush presided over the event to celebrate soldiers serving in the Gulf War.

The BBC asked Americans in Washington, D.C. about the role of the parade and its estimated costs.
