
The gunman killed the mayor of Mexico’s mayor San Mateo Pinas in the latest deadly attack on local officials.
Witnesses said four armed men arrived on the motorcycle and rushed into the country hall to open fire on Mayor Lilia Gema García Soto, as well as a local official who met with her Eli García Ramírez.
Two municipal police officers were also injured in the attack.
