Vance BoelterCourt documents show the suspect was charged with killing Minnesota lawmaker, her husband, and injured a second congressman and his wife, with weapons and hit lists in his car.
Boolter, 57, is allegedly a policeman and driving a Ford SUV registered under his name, equipped with police lights for shooting by the Minnesota House Speaker. Melissa Hortman Her husband, Mark, was allegedly shot and killed state Sen. John Hoffman, a Democrat and his wife, Yvette, at their Brooklyn Park home in Minneapolis early Saturday morning.
A criminal complaint issued by the Hennepin County District Court says Bault left a fake police car at the crime scene in Brooklyn Park, a criminal lawsuit published in the Hennepin County District Court said.
Inside the vehicle, police recovered an unsettling cache of weapons, including at least three AK-47 assault rifles and 9mm pistols, and the declaration lists the names and addresses of other public officials.

According to two people who found about 70 names in the announcement, two law enforcement officials who spoke with the Associated Press on anonymous condition. Officials said the list also includes names of abortion rights advocates and information about health care facilities.

Former Congressman Dean Phillips claimed in an article on X that his name was found in Boelter’s car.
“As someone whose name is on his list, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the Minnesota law enforcement professionals,” Phillips wrote. “Now, it’s too late to take steps to prevent political violence.”

Hennepin County District Court issued a criminal lawsuit accusing Boelter of second-degree murder on four counts of felony charges (without premeditation).

All charges are felony, each of which can be sentenced to up to 40 years in prison, and a minimum sentence of at least three years due to the use of a firearm.
