Continuous creative dialogue between legendary jewelers Tiffany Company And celebrate contemporary artists Daniel Arsham With the unveiling of their latest collaborative effort, the fascination continues: bronze erodes a penny ship and the accompanying limited-edition Tiffany & Arsham Studio Hardwear necklace. Building on success since 2021, this partnership once again demonstrates a remarkable blend of fine art and exquisite jewelry.
At the heart of the collection is a copper-eroded penny ship, a masterpiece that embodies Arsham’s iconic aesthetic of “future artifacts”. Inspired by the Great American Seal in Tiffany’s 1885 history (appearing in American currency) and Arsham’s own “A Study of the Erosion of the Cent” (2013), this savvy bronze sculpture reimagines the ordinary Cent as an ancient artifact. Elaborately handcrafted and done at Arsham Studio in New York City, each ship is embedded with highly polished crystals that seem to break through the aging patina to create a stunning contrast, indicating the passing of time and the decaying beauty. This limited edition collection contains only 39 handmade sculptures, making each piece very unique.
The ultimate treasure is hidden in a ship eroded by every bronze: a limited edition Tiffany and Alsham Studios hardware necklace. This custom work reimagines Tiffany’s signature hardware collection, drawing inspiration from necklaces in Tiffany’s archives, dating back to 1962. Made of 18k platinum, the elaborate mobile phone has more than 1,000 diamonds, a total of more than 6 carapaces, more than 500 tsavorites, and more than three diamonds. Tsavorites was used by the Tiffany Legacy Gemstone, launched in 1974, which cleverly nodded the ship’s bronze patina and Arsham Studio’s preferred green tones.
Each of these extraordinary works is carried out with a custom-made Tiffany Blue Art Handling crate and comes with matching blue boxes and dual-branded white gloves, emphasizing its position as a work of art and a valuable collection. This collaboration continues to push the boundaries of luxury goods, changing the everyday symbol of value – a cent – is a powerful symbol of luck, luxury goods and eternal artistry.
