Steve Bannon warned Donald Trump not to approve military measures against Iran, and said the US participation in another war in the Middle East would “tear apart”.
“My mantra at the moment: The Israelis have to end what they started. They have started. BannonThe head strategist from Trump during his first government was and remains a prominent ally of the US President.
“We can’t do that again. We will tear the country apart. We cannot have any further Iraq.”
Bannon’s comments in Washington came on Wednesday when Trump weighed in strike with Israel Iran. “I can do it. I might not be able to do it. I mean nobody knows what I’m going to do,” said the president on Wednesday reporters in the White House.
Bannon’s intervention put on a violent public struggle that played under Trump’s most passionate followers, with his Maga movement separated whether a president who started a message of “America First” and ended so-called forever wars that the US military was supposed to immerse themselves in another overseas conflict.
The former moderator of Fox News, Tucker Carlson, the former Member of Congress by Florida, Matt Gaetz, and the representative of Georgia, Marjorie Taylor Greene, were among the volume Trump -Akolytten who called him to exercise reluctance, while long -term foreign policy falcons, including South Carolina Senatorin Lindsey Graham, have reduced military intervention.

The moderator of Stratege Podcast said that his “recommendation” was that the president took the time instead of plunging into a decision.
“This strike does not have to take place tomorrow or the next day … The president should take the time and think about this with his consultants,” said Bannon, adding that Trump should also speak to regional allies, including Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman.
Bannon said he thought that even when Trump weighed his military options, he was open to a diplomatic solution. But he added that the president may have patience with the pace of the negotiations that have stalled.
“There was a moment, I think he thought he would make real progress. But you can’t work with President Trump. He is a deal type. After all, he knows that he is pulled along.”
Bannon swore to “fight” for the United States to stay out of the war, but in the end said that most Maga believers would support any election that the president hits.
“If the president makes a decision as a commander-in-chief … the Maga movement, the Marjorie Taylor Greenes, the Matt Gaetzes, we will fight it to the end. But if he has more intelligence and does this case to the American people, the Maga movement will support President Trump.”
