The Great Britain granted monitoring has given an investigation whether Amazon delayed payments to food providers after preliminary “evidence” was made aware.
The food code juror, which contributes to the fact that the largest food dealers in Great Britain are being treated fairly, said in a statement on Friday that “there are reasonable reasons for suspicion”.
Amazon Sold food in the UK via its own website and a small chain from Amazon Fresh Convenience Stores. His food arm in Great Britain has been exposed to an increased test since 2022.
It was obliged to comply with the British food supply code of the practice, a number of guidelines on how retailers should manage supplier relationships after it exceeds the annual food sale of 1 billion GBP.
The GCA said it would examine the way, the scope and effects of practices that may have led to the payments of Amazon, and in particular focus on the period of January 2024.
Amazon did not immediately answer a request for comments.
