The explosion after panic left 29 students dead in Benny Island

A hospital director told the BBC that 29 children taking school exams in the Central African Republic were secretly in love after a nearby explosion caused panic.

Abel Assaye of Bangui Community Hospital said the explosion occurred on a power transformer the day after Wednesday’s high school final.

According to local radio station Ndeke Luka, the “noise of the explosion, coupled with smoke” caused alarm from nearly 6,000 students with bachelor’s degree sitting at a school in the capital.

President Faustin-Archange Touadéra announced a period of national mourning.

He also ordered more than 280 people injured in love to receive free treatment in the hospital.

Students from five different schools in the capital went to Lycée Barthélémy Boganda to take the bachelor’s degree exam.

The car continues to face political turmoil and security challenges.

Government forces, supported by Russian mercenaries, are fighting armed groups threatening to overthrow Tuyadra’s government
