First on Fox: Republican lawmakers are submitting articles to judges about impeachment, which temporarily blocks the president Donald Trump’s National Guard control in California during the riots in Los Angeles this month.
R-La. Rep. Randy Fine is filing a resolution to evacuate U.S. District Court Judge Charles Breyer from the bench.
He told Fox News Numbers that he believed the judge’s decision was “political.”
“The purpose is to get the judges to do the work. If we don’t plan to take responsibility, then they won’t be motivated to stop,” Fick said.

As Republicans continue to overthrow Democratic officials, trying to stop Trump’s crackdown on illegal immigration across the country.

Trump accused progressive California officials of not being enough to stop the situation, bypassing Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, who ordered the National Guard to enter Los Angeles to restore order.
Critics of the move said it unnecessarily escalated the already tense situation and accused Trump and his allies of exaggerating the violence.
Breyer issued an interim order to prevent Trump from deploying federal forces earlier this month in response to lawsuits filed in California.

“In the early stages of the lawsuit, the court must determine whether the president follows Congress-mandated actions. He did not.”
“His actions were illegal – both beyond his legal authority and violated the Tenth Amendment to the United States Constitution.
Breyer’s ruling It was cancelled last week, when a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the federal government would put the California National Guard federal government within Trump’s sphere of authority.
Breyer is just the latest judge, and has been under scrutiny by the House Republicans after several Trump enforcement lawsuits in court.

Trump allies called for impeachment, although the House Republican leadership made it clear that there was little desire for such action, especially when the Senate was removed from office was unlikely.

Fine acknowledged the long chance, but insisted that the resolution was an effective messaging tool.
“I think it’s worth it. I don’t know we can pass it, I don’t know the Senate will remove him from the office, but I think it’s a mistake to not use my own remedy, i.e. the intentions of the makers.”
