Shane Mosley said he was disappointed and surprised by Devin Haney’s performance in the fight against Jose Ramirez in Times Square in New York last May. He helped Haney (32-0, 15 KO) prepare for the battle against California Big Bears’ former unified lightweight champion Ramirez.

PTSD or Haney’s game plan?
Mosley said when he saw Hanney bypassing the ring in that battle, he asked his father Bill Haney if it was a game plan to use the sports. He thought Hanni could have eliminated Ramirez.
After watching the fight, Mosley questioned the fact that people’s comments on German were true. Last year, he had PTSD in his battle with Ryan Garcia. If Haney does have PTSD, then this may continue to affect his performance, which goes well beyond Ramirez’s fight.

Mosley said he saw Devin Spar in training camp’s small rebounds with many tough fighters in the Cubs in training camp in battle with Jose Ramirez. Joining the fight, Shane thinks Haney will knock out Ramirez and beat anyone at 140 or 147. That’s why Mosley was surprised to see how Devin ran around the ring all night, rather than attracting the slow moving, slow Ramirez in the battle of Times Square.
Haney’s “running” surprised Mosley
“I was like, ‘I don’t believe what I see now.’ Everyone else was saying, ‘Oh, PTSD. “I thought, “I don’t know if I can disagree” because this is the first time I’ve seen it.”
Tim Bradley also mentioned that he felt Haney showed signs of suffering from PTSD that night, believing he was mentally affected in his 2024 battle with Ryan Garcia. Devin was repeatedly injured in that battle, falling three times, and three more times, box office, Harvey Dock, failed. Haney was on canvas six times, and the beatings he suffered like a fighter had to be defeated without stopping.
“I didn’t see that character. He did the victory he did. I know he performed better than that night. He didn’t show it in that fight, but he could fight.”
Fans know Devin can fight, but if he is going to back off like he is against Ramirez. If that’s not a game plan, then you have to focus on his future. This will tell you that since Haney fought Ryan, his spirit with Haney has changed.
