Gareth Edwardswho directed Godzilla (2014), The creatorand the completely new Jurassic World RebirthIt will always be asked about his time in the galaxy far, far away. That is just the nature of Star Wars and, more specifically, Star Wars fans, most of whom look very lovingly in the 2016 Rogue One: Star Wars Story– especially in the wake of AndorA two-season run on Disney+. Edwards is thrilled by all the goodwill, but that does not mean that he hopes to return to this world.

“I’m very happy to move on and do my thing,” Edwards told Business Insidious. Part of that need of the director could be down to Rogue Oneare behind-scene things that famously saw Tony Gilroy called to help with relocation. Gilroy of course went on to expand the rear history of the film creating the highly acclaimed Disney+ series Andor.

But not only Edwards is happy to move on, he is also happy that Rogue One remains a popular favorite between Star Wars‘remarkably nasty fanatical basis.

“I am very grateful for people to say beautiful things,” he said about Rogue Onereputation. He also prefers to look at the long view with all his projects.

“What you need to keep in your pocket while you go through other movies is that it’s not about how people feel the day when it is released, it’s how people feel about it 10, 20 years from now,” he said. “While the movie will appear, you go,” I pretend that I live 10 years from now, and no matter what people say for now. “It’s the child who comes to you 20 years from now and goes,” Oh my God, I loved that movie! “I think that’s the reward.”

Just don’t ask him to do another Star Wars Movie – His “thing” is dinosaurs for now. Jurassic World Rebirth is out on July 2nd.
