DeSantis said the committee will “superminate the monopoly of Woke certified cartels and will provide an alternative for institutions, focusing on student achievement rather than the ideological fashion that has penetrated these recognized bodies over the years.”
He further explained that the certification process affects undergraduate schools as well as law and medical schools. He said the accredited agency attempts to deny certificates from Florida agencies that prohibit diversity, equity and inclusion (of) Programming on their campus.
“Recognizers tell them they have to do these things. So when we say, ‘No dei,’ Recognizers tell these universities, ‘No, no, no, no, no, you won’t get accredited unless you do Dei.’ What do they say our universities are going to do?
“The development we’re seeing is a recognized cartel, and the recognizers sing from the same music table, which is not something Florida wants to see its college reflect in its colleges in many different ways.”
He added that the process “needs approval” for the current Trump administration U.S. Department of Education Moreover, according to the Biden administration’s regulations, the certification overhaul agenda will not be passed.
“They believe this certification process has been overhauled. They want to have new blood in the system. They want to have competing recognizers,” DeSantis said of the Trump administration.
