Brandon Tatum’s journey to becoming one of the most popular conservative influencers is a unique journey that began with Trump rally in Arizona during the 2016 election.
Called “Officer Tatum” on social mediaTatum has millions of followers and subscribers across all platforms, and he shares his views and reactions to political issues, media and popular cultural issues. Tatum talked to Fox News Digital in an exclusive interview about how he got there.
Tatum’s journey began with a University of Tuscon rugby player at the University of Arizona. However, he was not selected in the NFL draft, so he set his career attraction elsewhere in college degrees in Tucson for a variety of career opportunities.
When Tatum searches, he needs to find something that can provide his family. He applied to join the police department and received a response.

Tatum was riding with officer Sean Payne, who inspired him to pursue a career in law enforcement.
“He’s retired, but you know he changed my life… Riding with him inspired me to be a cop. When I talk about it, I always say that, for the first time in my life, I saw a hero at Sean Payne and I said, you know, I want to be a hero like him,” Tatum said.
Tatum said he wanted to serve his community and described his career as police officer It is “incredible”.
“I’m a SWAT operator. I’m a field training officer and that’s what I trained for new officers,” he said. “I’ve been trained in crisis intervention, which means I’m negotiating and helping people in crisis, people trying to commit suicide, you name it.”
He added: “I’m there to help.”
It was a complete moment for Tatum, who had no good experience before when police officers grew up.
“I really don’t like the police in the community where I grew up,” he said. “In fact, I was arrested when I was eight years old for smoking marijuana in a vacant house. So my first experience with the police was that I was going to jail and I didn’t necessarily experience the police in the community to help.”

Tatum then underwent a political awakening.
“When I first saw these taxes coming out of my salary, I realized I needed to start voting and stay politically active,” Tatum said.
He realized his point of view and Republican Party.
“Growing up black in America, by default, most of us are Democrats, so it really puts my eyes on saying, you know, I think I’m more in line with the Republican Party. I’m a conservative, I love God. I mean, I think most people will have everything that is related to conservatism or Republicans,” Tatum shared. ”
The 2016 election changed Tatum’s life.
Tatum’s video describes his experience at the Trump rally in Tucson Spread it overnight. He then made an appearance on “Fox & Friends” describing the release of the video and support for a future president.

After his appearance, he realized the importance of expressing his voice.
“I have a voice. I need to really speak out about these things I see are absolutely ridiculous,” Tatum said.
