BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff He denied allegations of sexual assault on a woman in 2023, according to newly filed court documents.

The woman, named Jane Doe AG, claimed to meet the college football player on social media and then agreed to visit him in his apartment to play video games, ESPN reports.

According to the complaint, the woman claimed she and Retzlaff began kissing, but he ignored her request to stop and continue to “escalate the situation.”

ESPN reported that the initial complaint claimed that Retzlaff placed his hand around her neck and raped her after the victim allegedly tried to leave.

In new filings on Friday, Retzlaff denied the allegations and claimed the two had agreed.

Retzlaff’s lawyer wrote through ESPN: “Mr. Retzlaff specifically denied every charge of his rape or strangulation (women), which are ridiculous and strange allegations, all of which are false and untrue.”
