I’m there, floating mentally Jess Bowers’ Facial studio, private in Nishimura Paradise, similar to the person who speaks. After the time I coveted with the aesthetician (it was a fantastic thing) Bowles About the products and processing she currently likes. Her answer? A gentle exfoliating jelly (I added it to the cart immediately) and an easy at-home technique that doesn’t require any exquisite tools.
“Honestly, the facials of the ice bath will completely change your skin,” she told me. “Try it for two weeks and you don’t even believe in the results.” It seems like she unlocked some sort of synchronicity because I kept seeing these ice bath surfaces at home everywhere. They’re in Hailey Bieber’s Metropolitan Party Preparation, exist Bella Hadid’s Live Beauty Habitsand popped up all over my place tiltok feedso I decided to finally give Powers a two-week experiment spin. True to her words, my skin reaction shocked me. Scroll forward to see the magic, and the details of each celebrity to know.
What is ice bath surface?
The sound of the ice bath surface sounds exactly like: dip your face in ice water. Think of it as a cold view of your face. Rather than throwing your swimsuit and finding the bathtub to soak your entire body, dip your face in a large bowl for a few seconds at a time. It is fast and relatively easy and has similar skin benefits to all Cold point. (To introduce it in detail later!)
To be clear, I’m not saying Bella Hadid and Hailey Bieber Invented the Ice Water Face. Aestheticians and makeup artists have been embracing the practice for years, praising its ability to reduce edema and inflammation and tighten the skin. Psychologists even call it a fast DBT (Dialectical Behavior Therapy) technique because it naturally slows your heart rate and calms your body. Not to mention, cold water is an ancient custom that is deeply rooted in many cultures.
No, dunking in ice water is certainly not a “new” or “fashionable” habit, but lately it’s more than ever on my Tiktok feed as a form of skin preparation and every celebrity’s recognition has become even more buzzing. Essentially, I’ve known about the ice bath for a long time, but Hadid and Bieber Bowles) Inspired me to try it myself in the end.

Benefits for the skin
First, ice water reduces inflammation, redness and swelling. It does this by activating a process called vasoconstriction, which constricts blood vessels to reduce blood flow, resulting in swelling. Putting ice on the damage is the same logic: limiting blood flowing to the area usually reduces inflammation and pain. Even if your face is not acutely inflammatory, the cold temperature can reduce any form of puffiness below the surface. “This can vary depending on your diet.” Bowles. “Say you eat a lot of salty food or consume alcohol – you may find your skin falling off faster.”
According to Bowers, the ice bath also tightens pores and actually brightens the skin when the blood circulation starts to warm. “It wakes you up.” Nothing can get rid of any dirty traces than a cold dunk!

How it works
Yes, the Ice Bath facial should have been super easy (just dunks and go, right?), but there are some important details that can enhance your results. The first is layout. You need a large mixing bowl (“to fit comfortably (your) whole face” Bowles), lots of ice (two trays should do this, Bowles Say), there is also a soft towel or towel to keep your face dry from after the slam dunk. If you have longer chains, you may also want the headband to pull your hair back.
Place the ice in a bowl and fill it with water until two to three inches away from the top. Slowly immerse your face in water and hold it there for 10 to 15 seconds. “I slowly counted 10 in my mind.” Bowles. Lift your face out of the bowl, towel, and repeat two to three more times. “But (i) spread it between three to five minutes, giving the blood flow a chance to recirculate,” Bowles Famous. On a short period of time, I chose three quick-sequential dunks, which took about 60 seconds in total, but if you can wait a few minutes between the declines to keep your skin naturally warm, that’s ideal.
As far as timing is concerned, you can always give yourself an ice bath, but Bowles I personally prefer to flood in the morning. “It’s great for the food or alcohol consumption that morning consumed from the night before,” she explained. “It’s also a wonderful morning ceremony that doesn’t take a lot of time to keep you all day.” After only seven mornings (if you keep dunking), she says you’ll start to see transformative skin effects. “You’ll notice tighter and glowing skin (and) surely start hearing compliments around the first week,” she shared.
My personal experience and results
Please allow me to set the scene. I’m awake extremely fluffy. My face slept on my belly on the pillow (I know it’s not a good location for long-term skin health, but I can’t do anything!), it took me an hour or two before the swelling finally subsided. Add salt to the mixture for dinner or a few glasses of wine and I can hardly find che bones. I’m willing try Dedicated to daily Lymph massage To exhaust all the fluid retention on my face, but I also always crunch in the morning time. Although I don’t want to admit it, I hit the snooze button again It’s better than the outline chin every time.
Bowles In my daily work, I swear that Ice Water’s face won’t take up too much time. She declared that even a few seconds each morning, I would give me “incredible results.” I’m the game – just a two-week commitment, right?
After those 14 days, I was actually because I didn’t implement this simple technique as soon as possible. My skin tone is brighter, my face feels less fluffy, my makeup looks smoother, and my pores appear to be barely present. It only takes a few minutes each morning. Honestly, the most time-consuming part was filling the bowl with ice, but I placed it on the counter (as well as the face towel) to save precious seconds.
I won’t lie: Ice Water Facial Care Exercises. The first few times I dunked, I could only put my face in the water for about five seconds. If you’ve ever been brave enough to do cold water, you’ll know how it makes your breath go away. I felt the same as I was repeatedly soaked in cold water, but I couldn’t actually breathe (my face was flooded). I found that if you slowly breathe from your nose when you lower your face into the bowl, it helps. Hold your breath for 10 to 15 seconds and then rise when you feel the need to breathe again. If you keep going on time consistently, it will be easier as time goes by.
As you can see from the photos above, my skin is significantly tighter, especially around my eyes, chin and chin, which is where I am most puffy. I woke up and took these two images Lip oil. Somehow, my sallow, easily glowing skin tone becomes glowing and vibrant, which is not the lighting that works. even Bowles After the experiment, my skin improved. When I saw her monthly facials again, she said she could tell me right away that I was always on the cake. She encouraged, “Stay on.”
Granted, there are some mornings where I just can’t cheer up to fill the ice I can’t trust, but I will continue to work on routine activities if I can, especially if I have an important event. Sure, ice water facials won’t grab my chin for a long time (in-office treatment is your best bet), but they’re great in pinch if I need some instant shedding, which isn’t bad for the three-minute technique that doesn’t cost you a dime. FYI: I’m getting married in November, so you’d better believe I’ll face the soaking within a few weeks before the big day!
