Senate Republicans and Democrats still have differences over the president’s hours of Medicaid Donald Trump’s “Big and Beautiful Bill” passed a major Senate vote Saturday night.
R-Ind. Senator Jim Banks and D-Del’s Senator Chris Coons appeared on “Fox News Sunday” to discuss Trump’s legislation after 51-49 votes.

“Medicaid reform will affect healthy Americans, those who sit at home, don’t work, those who don’t have sick children or sick moms, who shouldn’t receive Medicaid without working,” he said. “Best of all, the bill will take Medicaid away from illegal immigrants.”

Coons acknowledged that some states are using their state funds to provide health care for “undocumented people,” although he believes Trump’s $900 billion cut to the program “is not about throwing away illegal Medicaids.”
“They are committed to imposing increasing demands on Medicaid beneficiaries,” Democrats said.

“If we don’t pass this bill, the average tax on everyone would increase by $2,000, which is unfair to the average American who works hard every day,” he said.
Both chambers have concerns about Medicaid — particularly Medicaid provider tax rates and the impact of direct payments to states — energy tax credits, state and local tax (salt) deductions, and other facts have proven to be pain points that threaten the bill’s survival.

“Don’t believe me. Listen to Senator Tom Tillis,” Coons said. “He has been saying that the bill is a bad deal for the middle class. It will raise health care costs and lift millions of dollars out of the health care they need.”
On Sunday morning, Trump lashes out Both Tillis and Paul are on social media.
A few hours later, Tillis announces He will not seek re-election.

After reading is completed, the parties will have about 10 hours each to argue about the bill.

The schedule is early Monday morning and there may be a vote on the bill. A final pass vote may take place between late Monday night and late Monday night.
