Taylor v. Serrano III: The Historic Trilogy Will Be Live on Netflix’s MSG on July 11

The most valuable promotion announced today today announced a historic trilogy between Katie Taylor (24-1, 6 KOS) and Amanda Serrano (47-3-1, 31 KOS), which will be held on Friday, July 11 at the 2022 debut at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The first two games were record-breaking, and the third could be even bigger. The match will be the first-ever all-female boxing card in the iconic venue, similar to the second, and will be broadcast for free to Netflix 300 million subscribers.

This game will be played in 10, two-minute rounds. The first two games were a dynamic war, which was very controversial, and many believed that this could either be awarded to Amanda Serrano. The first match at Madison Square Garden in New York City left them throwing nearly 1,000 punches between the two, and Taylor won the decision through the breakup. Taylor’s judge scored 97-93 and 96-33, with third place scored 96-94. In the second game at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, Amanda surpassed Katie 324 to 217 respectively.

Serrano landed 58.2% of the Compubox. Serrano suffered an annoying cut in her right eye, which was caused by a head-bump, and Taylor was deducted a point in the fight for an over-minded battle. Despite being deducted and eliminated, all three judges awarded Taylor’s decision, all of them scored 95-94, calling for a third game.

“To my disappointment, Katie Taylor didn’t stick to the words and made the trilogy equivalent of a man. It was a record payday for both of us and we owe fans to honor the handshake deal we made. She didn’t make a handshake. But every time it was a war, I would say, I’d get any mistakes, I’d get July 11, because I’d get July 11, because I’d get July 11, because I’d get July 11, because I ended up meeting, because I ended up meeting, because I ended up meeting, because I ended up in the trilogy.

For the 38-year-old Taylor, she hopes to end the chapter about the epic competition between her and Serrano. “I want to thank everyone at Matchroom, MVP and Netflix for getting the trial over the line and I can’t wait to headline at MSG again in July. “I’m 2 and 0 against Amanda but it’s obviously a very special vitality that delivers every time we step in the ring, so I think it’s only right that we have the trial,” said Katie of their upcoming match
