Mary d’Unofrio leaves Bessemer Venture Partners for Crosslink Capital



Mary d’Unofrio, who led the investments of Bessemer Venture Partners into unicorns, including Anthropic And canvaswent to join Crosslink Capital, Assets has learned exclusively.

D’Unofrio will lead the CrossLink crossover fund and focus on the B-Plus investments of the series and in the vertical AI software and in the infrastructure.

“Thanks to AI, the world changes so quickly,” said D’Unofrio when he reached through luck. “I think there is an interesting opportunity to have an entertaining strategy that uses the transfer that creates AI … to invest in both new AI native companies, and even expand the runway for existing companies that may rethink their architecture or their contact point in the context of this quickly changing world.”

D’Unofrio spent seven years at Bessemer and became a partner in 2021. Her Bessemer portfolio included Anthropic, Canva, Teleport, Hashicorp, toastand wrapbook. At Crosslink, it will follow “less, higher conviction business” because the AI ​​reviews remain high.

“It’s still a bit of a story of two cities (when it comes to reviews),” said D’Unofrio. “Some AI companies are incredibly highly valued. But the reason is that there are massive tams that are recorded.

Crosslink – whose past and present portfolio Betterup, Postmates and Flume Health include – have recently shaped messages in Fintech startup Chime’s successful IPO. The company headed CHIME series A in 2014 and was one of the largest shareholders in the Chime (with a share of around 9.5%) because the company went to the stock exchange this month. D’Unofrio declined a comment on the Chime.

Crosslink, said d’Unofrio, has a thirty strategy for overheating, growth and public investments in the early stage.
