Litigation allegations BYU quarterback Jake Retzlaff was reportedly dismissed.

Retzlaff’s lawyer and the woman committed sexual assault in his apartment in November 2023 and filed a joint motion in Salt Lake City District 3 Court on Monday to dismiss the case Each report.

Retzlaff reportedly intends to transfer from BYU as he expects to suspend seven games due to breach of the university’s honors code. Retzlaff has one year left to qualify as a graduate student and can move on to ensure he plays a full season ahead of the NFL’s potential leap.

BYU is run by the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and engages in consent premarital sex as an infringement of the school’s code of honor. According to the Salt Lake Tribune, this is a strict set of rules that direct students to “live a chaste life.”

Although Retzlaff is not a Mormon, all students attending BYU must follow the Honor Code.

A woman known as Jane Doe Ag accused Retzlaff of sexual assault in a lawsuit filed in May. Retzlaff was prosecuted for alleged assault, assault and intentional emotional distress, which occurred in November 2023 at his apartment.

Retzlaff, 22, has not been charged with criminal charges.

The woman claimed she met Retzlaff via social media and then agreed to visit him in his apartment to play video games, Every ESPN.

Retzlaff still faces a suspension from BYU when the lawsuit is dismissed, as he says in denial of allegations that he claimed he had a consensus.

It is unknown where Retzlaff will be transferred, or which teams may be interested in him this year.
