Hamzah Sheeraz predicts that Canelo Alvarez will win the “stop work” of Terence Crawford during the battle in Las Vegas on September 13. He felt there was a “weight shift for a reason” and believed that two jumps Crawford (41-0, 31 KOS) would make for the fight would make his body unable to cope.
Age, layoffs hurt Crawford
Crawford is not young, turning 38 in September and has been cheating since 2020. You can only catch up with a year of battle until you catch up with you.
We see that in Crawford’s final battle, laying off employees for 134 months, and making his debut in 154, he barely won. Instead of staying at 154 to prove himself against the young Lions, Crawford battled both divisions against the undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo (63-2-2, 39 KOS). It doesn’t look like Terence is suitable.
Canelo’s strength, size and advantage
“My opinion on this is #1, there is a weight class for a reason,” Hamzah Sheeraz said Fighthype When asked about his thoughts about Terence Crawford, he lifted two weight classes to challenge undisputed super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez.
We clearly saw in Crawford’s final battle that he had reached the ceiling of his own frame. In his time, he would not be his primary fighter in the middleweight division at the 147, 140 and 135 years old. If he lives at 154, he might be beaten by a young man in a weight class, bigger, stronger fighter.
Madrimov exposed Crawford’s ceiling
He won’t go back to that department because the writing is on the wall. Israel Madrimov exposed him. Crawford, of course, won’t raise 160 to fight the division’s championship, because that’ll be even worse for him. He is too young.
“If we base ourselves on their final performance, Canelo performed better, even if he had a negative warrior in front of him,” Hamzah said. “And I think Crawford was a bit struggling with (Israil) Madrimov’s body. Yes, it was physical, I feel like he was struggling.”
Sheeraz understates when Crawford fights Madrimov. It can be said that he was beaten by him, but the fight was fought by three judges. They scored 115-113, 116-112 and 115-113 in Crawford.
I watched the fight and scored 7-5 (115-113). In each round of the fight, he landed a cleaner, a tougher fist. Crawford’s fist is better than Madrimov, 433 to 275, but only 11 times. He held it tightly in his mind.
Canelo’s strength, size and advantage
“You have to remember. Canelo is a big guy. He’s strong,” Shiraz said. “He knows how to use his figure, but at that level, you can’t write off a fighter like Crawford because of a sketch like Crawford.
Crawford may have shot more than Canelo, but that’s similar to his battle with Madrimov. His shots will be weaker. The judge will not provide business for Canelo because he is a superstar. They will score fairly and give him a decision. If you are Crawford, you should try knockout because he won’t get a cheap win like he did in the last fight.
“But if I had to put the money in it, I would put the money on Canelo and win by shutting down work,” Sheeraz said.
For William Scull Blueprint, Crawford may knock out Crawford throughout the 12 rounds, which will be hard to get out of Crawford. It would be ugly, but at least Crawford could win a moral victory.
