Justin Alexander is not only the designer of Tiler’s wedding dress, but he also attended the conference to celebrate the full-circle moment he had inadvertently helped create.
During the ceremony, Taylor wore a dramatic ivory gown with off-shoulder sweeps and a sweeping train decorated with three-dimensional rosettes and vines. Pearl beads flash from the center of the rose bud and trace the curve of the decal leaves. Her hair was separated deep, evoking the screen sirens from the 1940s. Finished Look: Pearl-fixed Jimmy Choo sandals with snake belts that glitter when she is moved with the control and elegance of a real principal. Roman attended the ceremony in a black Dolce & Gabbana tuxedo, then changed to a white coat for reception.
Her second dress, also Alexander, swapped sports: a lace off-shoulder gown with a sweetheart neckline and a soft beige glide. The pure ivory cover is embroidered with delicate floral fragrance and leafy vines – huge, ethereal, as she said, “built to dance.”
The ceremony is personal. Tiler took a photo of her late father pinned to her bouquet, then walked up the aisle to board his favorite song, which was broadcast live by their dear friend and violinist Hilary Hahn. “I felt him strongly as I walked,” she said. “I will never forget the way Rome looked at me.” Roman’s vow included memories of the many cross-country trips he visited his father with Taylor in his last year – in hindsight, it was the depth of his love. “Even if I feel his love every day, I’ve never heard of it before,” she said.
The ceremony was presided over by Rev. Timothy Weisman, ending with cheers and kisses, and the couple walked into the sunshine. “It was a hot summer day,” Taylor recalled. “Typical New York.”
The celebrations planned by longtime wedding library friend Claudia Hanlin (who called “Our Wedding MVP”) are filled with thoughtful details and warm texture. Claudia has customized block printing mats from Ukraine to India and has partnered with Marcella Floral Studio. “She knows my taste very well,” Tiller said. “I totally trust her.”
