president Donald Trump Slammed former first friend Elon Musk for joining the third party, saying the parties “never worked” and also called the move “absurd”.

Trump spoke with reporters before boarding Air Force 1 in Bedminster, New Jersey, when he was asked about Musk’s move to start a third-party move.

“I think it’s ridiculous to build a third party,” Trump said from the apron. “We have had a huge success with the Republican side. Democrats get lostbut this has always been a two-party system and I think it’s just confusing to start with third parties.

“It does seem to be developed for both parties,” the president continued. “The third party has never worked. So he can have fun, but I think it’s ridiculous.”

Musk announces A new party called the American Party was launched on his social media platform X on Saturday.

Entrepreneurs say the party’s formation is a direct response to a corrupt political institution that no longer represents the American people.

The news comes after a viral poll on X on July 4, Musk asked voters whether they want to be independent of what he calls a “bipartisan (some would say Uniparty) system.”

More than 1.2 million votes were voted, with 65.4% of the vote saying “yes”.

“In a 2-1 ratio, you want a new party and you will have it,” Musk announced Saturday. “We live in a one-party system, not a democracy when bankruptcy with waste and grafting. Today, the American Party is formed to restore you to freedom.”

The move comes after signing the Big and Beautiful Act at the White House on Friday.

The huge $3.3 trillion legislation includes tax cuts, infrastructure spending and stimulus, and has drawn criticism from fiscal conservatives and liberals. Although Musk did not mention the bill directly in his position as a U.S. party, the timing shows that the friction between billionaires and the president is rising. Musk had previously warned that unrestricted spending on both sides threatens the long-term health of the economy.

According to Musk’s post, the new party will target some key seats in Congress. The goal is to create a swing group that is strong enough to maintain balance of strength and to stop Musk from the worst oversight that Republicans and Democrats have been considered the worst.
