Drake Preparing for a new album, expected to be released in summer 2025, many speculate on its name IcemanAfter releasing an hour-long YouTube live stream, titled “Iceman Episodmen Episopeny 1”, teasing fans what they can expect. In the video, he plays a fictional employee at the Toronto Ice Storage Facility called “Iceman”, using a cinematic, narratively driven format to build a conspiracy. The concept hints at the album’s possible themes, blending script storytelling with real tension and emotional undercurrents.
Midway through the video, a TV shows an archive footage of young Drake in the lounge, the exclusive premiere of his new music video, “What am I missing?”. The track directly resolves a highly publicized dispute between Drake and Kendrick Lamar. He summoned unnamed people “both sides” to rap the tip of the bar, such as:
“You turned on these guys and supported the haters,” and
“It’s love for my brother, for the death of the traitor.”
Some fans think the lyrics may also be directed at NBA stars LeBron James and Demar DeRozan, both long-time Drake friends who support each other’s efforts. Their appearance of Kendrick Lamar at the Los Angeles outbreak concert sparked speculation, especially reports suggesting that Drake’s relationship with Derozan became tense as the latter became public support for Kendrick during the ongoing rap hatred.
When his new track “What I Miss?” video drew most of the spotlight, it also teased several unreleased songs, including a song called “Super Max Deals” – the R&B tilted cut reminiscent of “Don’t Trouble” his early album’s tone and delivery More life. Unsurprisingly, the upcoming album appears to be a blend of hip-hop and R&B, providing a range of sounds for fans of all genres.
With the help of raw lyricism, immersive storytelling and interactive fan moments, the launch marks one of Drake’s most creative promotions to date.
