More than 211 million people are active registered voters 2024 election.
More than 158 million voters voted in last year’s presidential election.
These figures are based on reports released by Congress US Election Assistance Commission (EAC), which has been conducting election management and voter surveys on federal elections for twenty years.

The Commission touted it “provides the most comprehensive source of data on state and local jurisdictional levels of U.S. election administration.”
The report said more than 85% of Americans of voting age registered as active voters last year, the highest level on record.
What the latest Fox News poll shows
Voters’ turnout is the second highest in the past five presidential elections, second only to the 2020 election.

Compared with four years ago, 64.7% of the voting age population in the United States has a slightly 3% turnout.
Nearly three-quarters of those who voted last year voted in person – in person before Election Day, 37.4% voted on Election Day.

According to the report, 30.3% of people voted by mail. This is 43% of people who voted by mail during the 2020 election, which is a high moisture for mail-in voting during the 19th pandemic.

But the report notes that the percentage of people who voted by mail in 2025 “still be larger than the percentage of voters who voted by mail in the general election.”
