“Pray with me, while more than 500 emergency responders continue to search for those who are still missing. Pray that we find survivors,” Rep. Dan Crenshaw of R-Texas encourages Texans to attend prayer days.
Texas is one of the more religious nations in the United States, especially in the South. Pew Research Center Religious Landscape Research was released in 2024. The same study found that 67% of Texans are Christians.
“Please pray immediately for everyone in the mountain countryside, especially the mysterious camp,” Senator Ted Cruz, R-Texas, R-Texas. Said Friday.

Mystic Camp is a private Christian summer camp for girls. As of Monday afternoon, at least 27 young girls living in Mystic camp were confirmed dead. When the water wall hit the camp, there were 750 participants.
Like many in Texas, Mystic Camp turned to prayer during a turbulent time in the young community.
“The Mystic camp suffered losses to 27 campers and counselors after the catastrophic flooding on the Guadalupe River. Our hearts suffered this unimaginable tragedy along with our family. We have been praying for them,” according to a statement on the camp website.

Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick told Fox News Channel at Camp Mystic: “The water is at the door. Camp advisers picked up a rock and smashed the window. They climbed up the window barefoot, just a night gown, wearing water around their necks.”
Patrick urges Texans to urge: “Please continue to pray for families affected by this tragedy.”

Attorney General Ken Paxton said: “Texans are praying for these families. God is with them in this unimaginable time of pain and suffering.”
