Not a hotel Its latest and largest villa has been officially opened. Not an Ishigaki hotel “Earth”, Designed by internationally renowned architects I’m Fuji. The circular structure sits on a 10,000 square metre coastal site on the southeast edge of Ishigaki Island in Okinawa, embodies Fujimoto’s iconic philosophy of eliminating the boundary between architecture and nature. The villa has a total area of approximately 1,500 m2, including indoor living spaces, terraces, swimming pools and water basins – the villa seamlessly blends into its lush surroundings, providing guests with an immersive retreat formed by land, sea and sky.

Just 11 minutes’ drive from the new Ishigaki Airport, the “Earth” is defined by its bowl-shaped roof and white hand-made facades that reflect the sunshine and contrast with the deep blues of the ocean. The roof garden allows the building to almost disappear into the landscape when viewed from above. Inside, the villa can accommodate 10 guests in four bedrooms and has a spacious living area with panoramic views. A brilliant infinity pool blends with the horizon visually, while the courtyard of Taichi Saito garden offers a quiet oasis with a children’s pool and fire pit. Other amenities include a glass wall bathroom, a fully equipped gym and a sauna illuminated by refracted light from the basin above.

In addition to its architectural charm, “Earth” offers a carefully curated experience to celebrate the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Ishigaki. Guests can board a sunset cruise on a traditional Sabani sailboat for a private dinner accompanied by live sangchen music or create their own Awamori Spirit using copper pot distillation at ikehara Brewery. Cooking products include a modern interpretation of Okinawan home cooking, which includes stone wall beef, island fish and fresh vegetables. A dedicated chef can prepare advanced barbecue classes and family-style meals on the terrace.

With its immersive design and thoughtful programming, no Ishigaki hotel “Earth” redefines the experience of a luxury villa. Fujimoto’s vision transforms the property into a vivid extension of the island’s terrain, providing guests with the tranquility of architectural shelter and sensory escape. The fractional ownership stock was sold out during construction. Guests can exchange their allocated nights on the hotel network. For more information, please cross the officials website.
