Crosson shared that she encountered a “different NEA” and she felt the “burden” of what might happen in the future.
“It is hard to feel any assurance when the best path to progress has become a moving target. But in the unknown, I am confident that we can find comfort and resilience in the knowledge we know. What we know is that respect does not start with sound or commitment. It starts with us, we start with us and how we improve our voice, how we propose, how we accept our words, what our people say, and our people say agree.

Crosson, who teaches in rural communities, explained that she has changed a lot since she realized how her career became two years ago. When internet companies refused to serve students in rural areas, teachers cited the struggles students faced during the coronavirus pandemic, “emphasizing profits that are accessible.”
“I represent Jaden, Jaden and Luce, who needed a support system that supports the system, not a student manual they needed. I represent my sister Sydney, who was born in Vietnam and raised in Central Pennsylvania. She has never had a teacher like her in her 16 years of education,” he said. ”
Crosson is Grant The Chief State School Officer’s Committee awarded the “Teacher of the Year” award in May. Teacher of the Year is selected by an independent selection committee composed of representatives from national K-12 education organizations including the NEA and its union rivals, the American Federation of Teachers.
The conference is held every year to set the agenda for the trade unions. Nearly 7,000 educators from all over the country participated in Saturday’s event. This year’s theme involves “Unprecedented Attacks in Public Education in the National”, NEA website says.
Chief State School officials said Croston’s comments do not represent the organization’s views.
A spokesperson told Fox News Digital: “CCSSO is a non-partisan non-profit organization that serves public officials who are responsible for basic education departments in states and regions,” a spokesperson told Fox News Digital. “In our work, we run the Teacher of the Year program. The National Teacher of the Year is independently selected to draw attention to the national public’s importance of teaching excellence and does not represent the views or opinions of the CCSSO or the members we represent.”
