These Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy shoes are making a comeback

A few weeks ago, everyone started talking about Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy again, as Ryan Murphy’s new show about her romance with JFK Jr., American love storyreleased. The rapid criticism of Bessette-Kennedy’s outfit was expected in an attempt to recreate one of the world’s most famous style idols.

To be fair, it is almost impossible to try to bottle what she has. It’s usually downplayed to minimalism, but the iconic look of Bessette-Kennedy is more than that. She’s wearing Prada Before its weird intellectual aesthetics, it was mainstream. She went from head to toe Yohji Yamamoto because she was particularly interested in how clothes fell on her body. In a 1992 interview about her style charm “I’m not happy with anything gorgeous. I like a clean and low-key look. I love boots, jeans, blazers. I like very classic colors – black, navy, navy, grey and white. If I want to add some influence, I’ll do it with texture.” She has not only an interest in fashion, but also a real fashion wisdom.

So as the internet continues to debate what Murphy thinks about Bessette-Kennedy, what will we expect New York This summer? Possibly resurrected in Carolyn Besette-Kennedy inspired look. But, especially I can start to see people really fascinated, one of Bessette-Kennedy’s more overlooked items, and I think it’s her pair of yellow snakeskin Prada Mary Jane shoes.

Animal prints have been everywhere over the past few seasons, and even debated whether leopard print is neutral (I personally think so). But I saw snakeskin on the spring/summer 2025 runway, especially in shoes miukhaite and Todd.

It only became a trend once everyone started digging into the Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy fashion archives and realized that she might have the most perfect snakeskin shoes in the world. Considering how impossible what they are to find is (trust me, I know, I’ve tried it!).
