Valentyns, a new workspace in Cologne, Germany, reimagines modern offices with a design front-line model tailored to small and medium-sized businesses. The concept, conceived by entrepreneur Ferdinand Stahl and architect Thomas van den Valentyn, has grown demand for high-performance environments that go beyond the aesthetics of lounges in recent years. Valentyns draws inspiration from workplace research by tech giants like Google and Microsoft, prioritizing seamless services and space quality for increased productivity and well-being.
Occupying a building from the 1960s overlooking the Rhine, this is a 2,100 m2 space house with 43 private offices, six meeting rooms and a healthy floor. Street level foster care informally connects restaurants and terraces, while membership limits are 150 to encourage meaningful collaboration – this approach is Dunbar’s figures.
