House Oversight Committee Chairman James Cuomo, R-Ky., hinted at an investigation into financial institutions over allegations that conservatives were stripped of their bank accounts. It comes as President Donald Trump criticized bank leaders during a speech at the World Economic Forum.

Kentucky Republican reveals “Sunday morning futures” Anchor Maria Bartiromo said there were “many examples” of such claims.

Maria Bartiromo: …Are you investigating whether Bank of America is cutting back on conservative banking?

Trump’s comments in Davos spark banking controversy again

represent. James Comer: Yes, we are. We have heard many examples of conservative banks being dismantled, and what we want to know is, is this a process of bank ESG policy? Is this – or is our government involved? Like what we found with Twitter and Facebook, where the government steps in and says they want certain conservatives to step down and censor certain conservative content and remove certain conservative content? We wonder again, is this government involvement and another dirty trick? Joe Biden Administrationor is this just bad liberal policy by banks that discriminates against conservatives?

Maria Bartiromo: Wow. So do you have evidence that some banks are cutting back on conservative banking?

represent. James Comer: Yes. Especially people who are involved in different energy type businesses and things like that, and conservative activists who are very articulate and outspoken. So there are plenty of instances that warrant another investigation. Is this ESG policy discriminatory? The irony is that Democrats have passed all this banking legislation prohibiting discrimination. Is this because of ESG discrimination or government discrimination? bank examiner is President Trump hinted in his speech (Have you played this before) Do these bank examiners wink, nod and say “Don’t let this person deposit money in your bank?”

Maria Bartiromo: …How will these banks be affected? What can these banks expect from your office in the coming months?

represent. James Comer: Well, they’re going to be asked a lot of questions and I will say this for the banks, which are one of the entities we’re working with during the Biden influence peddling investigation. So I hope the bank will cooperate with our questions and hopefully we can get some answers. First, find out whether our government is involved and whether this is another side effort by the Biden administration to attack conservatives. At least, we want to change that. You know, we’re not talking about bank cancellations, meaning they declined loans, which happens every day In the banking world. It’s just about opening a savings account and a checking account. I mean, it’s unheard of to do that and it’s against the laws, which ironically were laws written by Democrats to fight discrimination.
