Golden State Warriors Guard Buddy Hield was not entertained when he visited the Colosseum in Rome.
Hield competes in the NBA Summer League and watches young players from the Warriors participate Utah Jazz On Sunday night. The Warriors won 103-93, but it was Hilde’s comments about his trip to Italy that attracted the attention of the Internet.

“When I went to the Colosseum, I was a little disappointed because I looked at the ‘Gladiator’ and I thought Maximus was a real warrior,” he explained on ESPN broadcast. “So, I’m going to scream at the Colosseum, ‘Maximus!’ My guide said he wasn’t real.”
“Gladiator” was released in 2000 and won the Academy Award for Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Visual Effects, Best Sound and Best Costume Design. It made more than $465 million at the box office.

Hield was a member of the NBA Jellokee when he first entered the league. He started with the New Orleans Pelicans but was traded to the Sacramento Kings during his rookie year. He also played with the Indiana Pacers.
