If you have chosen a robot vacuum with map skills, it usually gives you the option of fast mapping without cleaning. It might seem like waste, but it saves time in the long run. Use the mapping to take a quick walk around your house and look for dangerous shoes, cable headphones or any long strings or fringes that will travel up the smartest robotic vacuum.
And turn on your lights. Your robot could have optical sensors that require ambient light to work. If you find that your vacuum blocks a lot, do not plan your cleansing at night. (Try 9 AM, what is when my vacuum is usually planned.) If you have a dog, cleaning as soon as you leave, will also give your puppy less time to have an accident on the floor.
Currently your robotic vacuum will also ping you if it has navigation problems. In my house, dust often ascends the optical sensors that can be removed by wiping by a soft cloth.
Empty the trash
Yes, unfortunately, a robot that routinely digs into the nastiest corners of your house will need some routine maintenance. More than a few people complained to me that their robotic vacuum is not working and just drags dirt around. If your does this, then the trash is probably full. The dust trash of a robot is quite small. Most robotic vacuums have a bin size of about 0.6 liters. The dust rubbish on my Dyson -ball vacuum It’s twice that, and I still need to empty it from room to room.
Treatment of socks and Coágulos
Many robotic vacuums now come with tiny tools inserted into the body of the vacuum, which facilitate routine maintenance. I also hold a scissors and, ER, spicy tools (spike) by hand to cut hair or textiles that have taken out a roll brush or to push a stubborn interpretation through the vacuum cake on a self -make trash.
I have to say here that robot vacuums are not unique in this regard; These are all the problems that have taken place my manual push vacuum. I still have to meet a robotic vacuum problem that could not be solved by a few minutes of routine maintenance (well, and the occasional factory reset).
Divide and conquer

Ideally, you would automate your robot’s cleaning cycles, wouldn’t give it another thought and return home to a clean house every day later. But as helpful as robotic vacuums, they cannot pick up your child’s 1,000-piece puzzle for you or remove the dirty laundry you left in a pile on the floor.
