The mother of a congressional intern was killed in Washington, DC Pleas to the police To find the person who killed his son, warn other parents that it might happen to the child.
Eric Tarpinian-Jachym, a 21-year-old student University of Massachusetts AmherstAccording to police, he was shot dead at around 10:28 pm on June 30 and died on July 1. The Metropolitan Police Department said the shooting occurred in the 1200 block of 7th Street, Northwest.
A 16-year-old male and adult woman was shot dead but survived. A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police Department told Fox News on Tuesday that no suspects were detained.
According to investigators, several people left a car and began shooting at a group of people, including Tarpinian-Jachym. They added that the Tarpinian-Jachym was not the intended target for the shooting.

Eric’s mother, Tamara Jachym, told Fox News Digital in an interview that police need to arrest responsible people because “they will do it again.”
“It’s a serious crime. It’s a mile from the White House. It’s not a joke. And then it’s happening again this weekend.” “You know, the mayor has to be serious about it.”
She added: “I think Eric feels safe. It was late at night. He was in a decent area and that happened. It was shameful. You know, Eric was the 85th victim and now we have 86 people.”

Jachym describes her son as “a very kind, sweet, compassionate young man”.
“He is very kind to everyone. He loves these animals. He loves fishing,” she said. “He is just a very special boy. He really likes DC and loves walking around the streets. He loves walking to the docks, he loves going out to eat. He loves people in DC.”
According to a statement from his office, the University of Amherst, Massachusetts student is R-Kan. Rep. Ron Estes trainee. He’s going to return to his senior year University of Massachusetts Amhersthe majored in finance and was involved in political science.
“I will remember his kind heart and how he always came to our office with a cheerful smile,” Estes said in a statement. “We thank Eric for serving Kansas’ Fourth District and the country. Please join Susan and me in praying for his family and respect their privacy during this heartbreaking time.”
A FBI spokesman said in a statement to Fox News Digital that the agency is assisting the Metropolitan Police Department in its investigation.
