Tap for amazon -content: If you subscribe to the Amazon Prime service, you can consume all the inclusive movies, music, TV and books, shopping all the items you can get with their free two-day shipping, and browse your free Amazon photo shooting. You can do most of the same things from Android tablet or iPad, but the fire -os interface is created specifically to deliver Amazon, with slippery pages for every kind of media Amazon sells.
Built “pretty good”: Physically, Amazon’s fire tablets are made of cheap plastic, but they are designed with enough care that the building quality won’t bother you too much. WiFi -reception is great, and the previous face cameras have improved considerably in the last few editions. Children’s editions are also some of the best quality tablets for children, inserted into a robust buffer, and all have micro-slots so you can add extra storage. This will give you access to the full range of Android apps. (Note that some programs will not work, but 99 percent of the programs out there for Android will work well.)
Cheap: Did we mention the price? They all cost $ 200 or less, save the new Max 11. If you stay to the cheaper models, yet they are a great value. You can also get them with Amazon lock screen ads that will lower your price by $ 15.

Non-amzonic content is missing: The greatest strength of these tables is also their greatest weakness. If you are not Amazon Prime -a subscriber and do not plan to get your video, Amazon’s sound or books, the fire tablet is much less convincing. They have Alexa, so that could be a plus, but again, this is tied deep into Amazon’s content library. You can download third -party programs like Netflix on Amazon’s AppStore, but the choice is away more limited than what is available Apple’s iPad Or the Google Play Store on standard Android tablets. Installing the Google Play Store gives you access to the full range of Android apps. In the end, you get a $ 60 tablet that is capable of 95 percent of what $ 330 iPad can do.
Old technique: The Te Techniko within these tablets is old. The processors are not the fastest, and you will probably notice small qualities of delay and overall lack of power compared to more expensive Android tablets. The touch screens are not responsive or sensitive as more expensive tablets. Because many of the fire programs are built with weak processing power, you don’t notice it too much. The operating system is also dated (depending on which fire tablet you buy), which could hide some of the weaknesses. Amazon’s latest Fire OS is a modified version of Android 11, published in 2020. Amazon continues to update its tables to some degree, but not almost often as it should.
Short guarantees: Only the fire HD 10 comes with a full one -year warranty. Amazingly, the smaller devices come with 90-day guarantees.
Special Offers: Over time, Amazon’s special offers have become more and more annoying. We recommend you pay the additional $ 15 to buy a fire tablet without them.
