Indiana Hot Star Sophie Cunningham Set off The team’s former teammate Dewanna Bonner’s results in a controversial breakup this season.
Bonner quit nine out of nine games on the grounds of “personal reasons” when the team tried to trade her. Indiana then released Bonner on June 29, and she is back Phoenix Mercuryshe started her career in 2009.

Cunningham, who played for Mercury in 2009 with Bonner, praised Bonner as a player, but he also suggested Bonner showed a lack of “professionalism” when he left.
“I’m still cheering her on. I hope she ends her career and stays happy, but I also think it’s OK to be professional about it. Send text to your teammates, send a text like ‘Hey, love you, love you,’ or you don’t even have to say, ‘Love you.’. Say, “I’m sorry, this doesn’t solve it, good luck…” I think there’s a way to fix this,” Cunningha said on Tuesday’s podcast.
Bonner returned to Indianapolis and was booed by fans. Cunningham said Bonner should get booed from fever fans based on how she started.

“Anyway, she signed here in Indiana, and I was a little surprised, so we would be heartbroken. She is a Hall of Fame. She is a Helluva basketball player who can score anywhere on the court.”
“She’s in Indiana and she’s just not so happy, I want people to be happy, so that’s why I’m a little neutral about it and everyone is surprised.
Boos is not sitting in the right position with Mercury star Kahleah Copper. The booing of four-time All-Star and WNBA champion Bonner handled the booing well, but she didn’t understand why the joke happened first.
