A man suspected of murdering three women In the Portland area Officials announced Tuesday that the abandonment of the body has now been formally charged with a fourth homicide.

At a press conference, Mtnomah County District Attorney Nathan Vasquez revealed that a grand jury charged Jesse Lee Calhoun with the death of 22-year-old Kristin Smith, who was found in November 2022. Calhoun is currently in custody at Inverness Jail in Multnomah County. His trial is expected to begin in 2027.

Fox News Digital contacted Calhoun’s attorney Cameron Taylor, but his office declined to comment publicly.

Perry, Webster and Kristin Smith were found in various areas of Oregon, while Speaks’ body was located in an abandoned barn in southwestern Washington. This pattern has raised concerns that serial killers may target young women in the area.

Law enforcement officers rarely release details about ongoing investigations. Da Vasquez noted that the death of another woman was still under review within the same time frame.

Officials say the case of Ashley Rial, another woman allegedly linked to Calhoun, is still under investigation. No charges related to her death have been filed.

Calhoun was detained in June 2023 for parole violations. He was indicted in May 2024, just before his planned release from state prison. He was re-incarnated in 2023 for four years in prison for crimes including assaulting police officers, attempting to strangle police dogs, and theft.

Because he participated in the 2020 wildfire fire protection program, he had previously advanced one year in 2021, and one year earlier.
