Launched with a nostalgic camp, 18 East The annual summer outdoor capsule has been released, a series of carefully crafted pieces that are both outdoors and interseasonal staples. In a highly personal collaboration with Camp Billings in Vermont, East 18 founder Kenny Ciongoli drew inspiration from the campground’s childhood memories.
“Every year, when the design calendar for East 18 is transferred to our summer outdoor capsules, my mind immediately heads north to the Fairley Lake bank on the eastern Vermont border. “I spent nine unforgettable summers there – first campers, then a counselor – an extraordinary sleep camp called Camp Billings Camp,” he continued.
The collection features details such as sashimi-style stitching, washed wool, retro graphics and a vintage palette, and is full of nostalgia. Stand out of the way is a brown check shirt with hand-stitched embroidery and RC2 FullZip – made of high-stake Sherpa coffee and vintage contrast nylon.
Ciongoki added: “Billings gave me my first true independent taste, a safe, supportive environment and exploration in the environment and in love with the natural world,” highlighting the central role of the camp in the series. In other summer outlines, the camp Billings logo of bubble letters is used for green rugby shirts and primary colored nylon swimming trunks.
