In the original 1986 movie, Christopher Lambert was Macleod, Sean Connery was Ramirez, and Clancy Brown was the Kurgan. These are all amazing actors, but they certainly match this remake.
Remake, who, if you remember, has done a long time. Stahelski, best known for being the godfather’s father of the John Wick A franchise, has been tied for almost 10 years. It is a true passionate project for him, and the fact that he will finally start filming next month, must feel predominant.
“I’m a huge fan of the original property since I saw it in high school,” Stahelski Said way back in 2016. “Such great themes of immortality, love and identity are all involved in such colorful mythology. I can’t think of a better property that gives the opportunity to create interesting characters, mythical issues and actions.”
Having revised the original Highlander Semi-recentlyIt will be interesting how faithful Stahelski and writer Michael Finch will be to the original. The original is wonderful, but it leaves so much to the imagination that you have to think that a modern filmmaker will bend into it. Will this movie be deeper into the mythology of what it means to be Highlander? Or will it be more concentrated as the original? Maybe we’ll find out some time next year.
