Recently, men’s fashion feels not forced, rooted and authentic. Just want to Jonathan Anderson’s SS26 Dior Men’s Clothing debut in June, balanced with Bravado, or Ami Paris Smart casual rework of traditional capsule wardrobe. Collections that combine classical rigor with ease and tolerance seem to be a popular theme.
Add to this list is Sunflower’s SS26 series, just displayed Copenhagen Fashion Week. Suitably, this Copenhagen-based label held a show in the small courtyard of its office building. This season, the brand presents 25 looks, blending understated wearables with timeless tailors to tell the story of a “business abandoned for escape.”
The collection’s “wear seems to be pulled out of the suitcase” and “feel like a unity of aimless days”, with creases and torn denim, a throw-out grey two-piece suit paired with seamless striped shirts, and other ruthless style touches. The look accentuates the contemporary ease, like a tailor-made black coat, wearing weathered jeans, or emitting loose pinstripe suits with pink shirts and polka dot tie.
These works are designed to live and last, showing impeccable technical construction and quality fabrics. But the pastel palette – stone, tobacco, storm, wheat – reflects the brand’s fresh, rooted approach to modern men’s clothing.
