To combat crime in the national capital, the President Donald Trump Federal law enforcement in Washington, D.C. is being stepped up and other federal law enforcement personnel are deploying this week.

Supported by the March executive order, the White House, their respective federal agencies and local officials will work together to disperse DC crimes.

Other areas of focus include speeding up the hidden licensing process in DC, ending fare evasion and other crimes, as well as transportation processes within the Washington Metropolitan Area Transportation Bureau and reviewing prosecutor policies regarding pretrial detention to ensure that suspects pose a real threat to public safety.

One of the most obvious changes will be higher federal enforcement in and around the city’s main locations.

Officials said the deployment will include areas including the National Mall, Lafayette Park, Union Station, Rockcreek Park and Main Parkway.

Task Forces have used federal law enforcement and the National Park Services Department have made progress to increase law enforcement, arrest illegal immigrants and evacuate homeless camps in parks and public places.

As of Thursday afternoon, operational details have not been completed.
