Tools often have utilitarian design. Their goal is to accomplish things, so their form is exclusively focused on realizing things. This is where the Hoto Snapbloq is unique: these tools emphasize style and design to prove that functionality does not need to have robust, useful and (typically) unjustifiable style.
The Snapbloq line of Hoto is a set of three small power tools intended for dyes and hobbyists. The full set consists of a screwdriver, a rotary tool and drill, along with three cases for the tools and six magnetic accessory cases to hold bits. The whole gear has elegant, modern forms that have spread today in the world of Techniko today, with closures, screws and seams that reveal their manufactured and assembled nature. The package includes three tools (R-A04, D-A03, and S-A01) and has $ 300 MSRP, although you can buy each tool separately for $ 100.

All three tools have an anodized aluminum outer residence with a plastic back plate. They feel quite lasting, being able to withstand basic drops without damage, and weigh about 100 grams each. The grip areas have a straight tap to improve grip, and the buttons are a flexible rubber panel with small switches below. There are no seams surrounding the buttons where dust or items can be inserted, useful for tools that are likely to create small, air items.
Of the three, the electric shotgun is the most convenient, practical and useful. For random tinks, this tool does quick work of smaller screws about and within electronics. However, it is not intended for much more than that-with just a 0.5 Newton meter of torque, this device struggled to loosen even a little tight screws in my trials, and I couldn’t separate them either. I regularly found myself needing to turn the screwdriver (or delay a standard shotgun) for anything that required a little more strength to tighten or loosen. On the other hand, the relatively low power of this screwdriver meant that it is difficult to cross, striped or damage the screws during use, which gave me peace. It is a convenient tool, but ultimately it must be completed with a standard shotgun.
