The Detroit Lions’ preseason against the Atlanta Falcons fell into trouble Friday night when Lions were safe Morice Norris made a tough shot.
Norris attended for about 20 minutes and took the field away in an ambulance. The game ends at 6:31, following the player to let the clock run.

Norris was injured at 14:50 and tried to solve Nathan Carter. No immediate report of injury.
After the game resumed, Falcons quarterback Emory Jones picked up a ball and took it down as both teams stood on the melee line and the clock continued to run. Eventually, with 6:31 left, an official announced that the game had been suspended in “New York”.

The Lions led 17-10 in the game.
Lions coach Dan Campbell talked about the incident in a post-match press conference.
“He’s breathing, he’s talking. It’s good. He has some movement,” Campbell said. “Now, they’re going to do more tests.”
Lions quarterback Kyle Allen told reporters he was praying for Norris, adding: “Sometimes it’s a horrible game.”
“I don’t think anyone wants to play,” Allen said. “We’re not part of this decision, but you can look everyone in the eyes and see it’s not worth it.”

The 24-year-old Norris joined the Lions as Fresno State in 2024 as an undrafted free agent. He spent some time on the practice roster in Detroit before joining the active roster from last season and playing in two games.
