Spotify wrapped up has become the event completely. You will know the minute when the streaming giant drops their annual round of user listening habits as your social media will feed on flooded Data Of the most played songs of your friends, many hours listened to, and proud statements of super -fan status.
There are some people, however, who do not feel completely comfortable by sharing their spotify wrapped up with anyone else. Listeners, whose lists are ruled by guilty pleasures, perhaps, or the music of their children, or artists, of whom they are no longer fans.
If you want to get to the end of the year with Spotify wrapped, who reflects who you are, and the music you really like (or happy to own, at least), then it takes some preparatory work – much earlier in the year. Fortunately, the streaming service gives you several ways to adapt the listening that your wrapped round will consider, so you can share your results proudly when that time comes.
Excludes specific gamelists
You may have a specific game list you don’t want to count on your wrapped Spotify data. Maybe that’s a playlist you are constantly using in the gym or as background music to work or fall asleep or to whom you set your kids. Spotify allows you to exclude some gamelists from your recommendations and your wrapped round.
With the intended playlist on screen on the web, desktop or mobile programs, click or tap the three points at the top of the track and select Exclude from your taste -profile. Spotify won’t let this playlist touch the profile it builds on you, unless you decide to include the playlist again (which can be from the same menu).
The feature is primarily intended to give you better recommendations in your mixtures and other areas of Spotify, but it also affects wrapped. All traces inside excluded playlists will not count to your best artists and songs of the year, but excluded game lists will be counted as part of all your listening Spotify says.
Listen to privately
Another way to protect both your recommendations within the Spotify app and your end of year Spotify wrapped up is to enable private listening. The feature is exactly as it sounds: a private listening session that will not be logged into the disks (similar to Undercover browsing on the web).
