A group of Bipartisan US lawmakers encourage the head of the surveillance court of Britain to hold an open hearing on Apple’s expected challenge by an alleged secret legal demand for UK government.
US Senator Ron Wyden, along with four other federal lawmakers, said In a letter this week To the President of the Investigation Powers Court of the United Kingdom (IPT), that there is “in the public interest” that some audiences of the alleged order are not secret.
The lawmakers’ letter also says that the alleged UK order prevented California-based Apple from speech, which is “constitutionally protected” under US law, and prevents the ability of lawmakers from taking a congressional overview.

Two Citizens’ Rights Groups, Liberty and Privacy International, is also challenging the back order of the UK government by legal adherence to the IPT.
